Description
Thumbs Up WebView is based on open source software, using MySQL as its database and PHP as the scripting language between the webserver and MySQL. This open source approach allows unlimited customization of the interface. Licensing is also available for a Developer Toolkit that allows customization of the database structure in an Eclipse or Aptana environment, for the creation of complete custom applications. WebView fully supports Adobe’s Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP), including custom tags.
In addition to importing the metadata into the database, Thumbs Up provides for transformation of certain tags, such as keywords, into a form that allows searching at over a million tag records per second. Supported platforms include Windows/Apache/PHP, Windows/IIS 6/PHP, Mac/Apache/PHP, and Linux, Apache, PHP. In addition to MySQL, we provide support for all major SQL databases.
