Description
DSM’s LFPA long travel piezoelectric actuators were designed to oscillate biological specimens within the high magnetic field of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. These flexure-guided piezo actuators are constructed of titanium and other non-ferromagnetic materials. The two-stage amplification enables the designs to achieve translation ranges of 6 and 10 mm, respectively, at the mechanisms’ output. * Titanium flexure frame (compatible with MRI environments) * Vacuum compatibility upon request * Stroke (± 10%): 6000 µm, 10000 µm * Stiffness (± 10%): 0.006 N/µm (6 mm), 0.002 N/µm (10 mm) * Unloaded Resonant Frequency (fixed-free): 120 Hz (6 mm version), 70 Hz (10 mm version) ±5% * Dimensions: 47 x 102 x 19 mm
