Sapphire offers extreme strength and toughness for demanding projects where heat, pressure or impact damage renders other windows useless. Sapphire windows are cut from a crystal aluminium oxide and offers a transmission range from UV through visible to infrared (150nm to 5μm), at low and high temperatures. Our Sapphire windows have been used by companies in the Aerospace and Defence, Imaging, Manufacturing and Oil& Gas markets. They offer ultra hardness and toughness in applications such as camera windows, deep see portholes and high pressure viewing windows. Their ability to resist being scratched by most materials other than itself make it perfect for hazardous and tough environments and its resistance and stability extend to high temperature up to 1,000°C.
