Beamsplitter cubes with dimensions of 2.0 x 2.0 x 2.0mm for use with small beam laser sources or those equipped with fiber optic cables The 2.0mm
size is a new standard in polarization beamsplitter size and makes new applications practicable. These beamsplitters are constructed of two right
angle prisms, one of which has a beamsplitter coating on its hypotenuse. The beamsplitters are divided into four wavelength ranges, 420-680nm, 620-1000nm, 900-1300nm and 1200-1600nm. For each range the appropriate four sides of
the cube are antireflection coated, AR, for the respective wavelength range. Tower's
polarization beamsplitters divide unpolarized light into two orthaganolly polarized beams at 90° to each other. The transmitted beam is primarily
p-polarized while the reflected beam is primarily s-polarized.
