BaySpec Establishes Systems & Field Sales Division
New applications lab will promote company's application-specific systems
Fremont, California, July 2, 2009 -- BaySpec, Inc. has formed a Field Sales & Applications Lab to promote its application-specific, integrated optical spectral engine systems for its worldwide customer base.
The new Field Sales & Applications Lab will complement BaySpec's existing sales structure - a direct and worldwide distributor network with over 30 country offices, providing a level of hands-on service supporting the technical complexity of its application-specific, turnkey systems. Among the turnkey systems BaySpec now offers are Raman bench top and handheld instruments for large molecular structure analysis; Visible-Near Infrared dispersive spectrometers with deep-cooled detectors for low light spectroscopy; Narrow and wideband light sources; Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) interrogation systems for smart structures and other fiber sensing applications; OCT spectral engines for ophthalmology & and biological in-vivo imaging. The lab makes full access to BaySpec's extensive instrumentation such as optical spectrum analyzers, integrating spheres, polarization scramblers, tunable and fixed light sources, microscopes, temperature & humidity ovens and chambers, and fiber accessories.
The Field Sales & Applications Lab allows us to address a previously under-served segment of our analytical instrument market," said William Yang, President, CEO & Founder of BaySpec. "We are now far better equipped to meet the needs of our application-specific system customers, who often require in-person consultation, on-site demonstrations and seminars, and a hands-on approach that we have not always been able to support. With the new applications lab complementing our existing sales force, we can now offer service to users ranging from product developers for original equipment manufacturers to researchers and technicians in large corporate labs and university settings."
Technology Partnership
BaySpec is seeking manufacturers of optical components and systems who are interested in technical collaboration into turnkey systems.
